Frequently Asked Questions

about the prints:

Each print listing will state which kind of print it is. I try hard to make each print a faithful reproduction of the original art.

Photoprints: Archival photographic prints, printed using photo developing technology. These prints have wonderful color quality with a slight sheen. They should be be lightfast for at least 50 years or longer.

Digital Prints on card stock: These are beautiful poster prints on acid free card stock.

Borders: Depending on the size of the original painting, the print may have a small white border. This is more likely with images which are taller than they are wide. If you need to know the exact dimensions on an image on a print please contact me.

What do you make your art with?

My color paintings are created using watercolor and some acrylics. My favorite watercolors are from M Graham. I prefer to paint on hot press (smooth) watercolor paper because it works best for details.

I learned to use a dip/nib pen in college and while it takes a while to get the hang of, I find it the best for line variation and drawing in ink. It takes a while to get the hang of without making mistakes. I use the smallest pen holders with mapping nibs or Japanese manga nibs. A good alternative for beginners are waterproof comic pens like Sakura microns.
